Their are a lot of children who go to sleepaway camp in New York, but their plans for the Summer may be spoiled. A report from CBS news says that ''Camps also employ more than 1.5 million people, including many full-time teachers looking for supplemental income during the summer months. The industry is worth around $27.3 billion.'' This would mean that sleepaway camps possible closure could put many more people in even more economic uncertainty. Within the Jewish community, many are beginning to face the reality that their children will most likely not go to camp. Camp Kaylie, Mesora, Morasha, and other major sleepaway camps have not yet closed but are expected to in the next month or two. ''i cant see Governor Cuomo allow so many kids to sleep together in bunks just weeks after school was closed for the year'' a reporter for TL news said. More updates to come soon from TorahLife news.
